The 6th Annual Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) 2007 -- "The Movement in Progress through Independent Filmmaking." Call For Entries: Delta's Fly-In Movies Short Film Competition - Deadline September 12, 2007

Delta Air Lines and partner Gen Art are sponsoring the second annual Delta's Fly-In Movies national short film competition. Amateur filmmakers are invited to submit their short films and as the official airline of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, Delta will award the top five finalists with a trip to the 2008 Sundance Film Festival to attend a ceremony where the winning film will be revealed. The winner will also receive a $10,000 cash prize and an international round-trip pair of tickets. Films are accepted through September 12, 2007 and professional filmmakers will select the five finalists who will have their films shown on delta.com and Delta's domestic transcontinental flights. Create A Promote For NBC You Video Contest - September 17th Deadline

As part of an ongoing diversity initiative, NBC Universal is giving viewers - and filmmakers - a chance to get in on some network action, in the form of original promos for NBC hit shows 30 ROCK, HEROES, or THE OFFICE.

To take part, use NBC clips and other elements from the show you use to create a diversity themed video promotional spot that is no less than 15 seconds but no more than 30 seconds long. You will select your actors, write your script, shoot and edit the promo yourself. Upon completion, submit to NBC YOU via the Withoutabox listing, and upload your brand new promo in your Withoutabox filmmaker account as a trailer - no DVDs or shipping involved!

IFFB Call For Entries

The Independent Film Festival of Boston celebrates its sixth year April 23-29, 2008 at the Boston area's most historic art-house cinemas, the Somerville Theatre, the Brattle Theatre, and the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Over 23,000 attended the 2007 festival making it New England's highest attended film festival. 125 screenings will be held along with nightly parties and weekend panel discussions. Accepted filmmakers will be provided with all-access passes and will enjoy our filmmaker lounge stocked with gourmet food, beverages, games, internet access, press interview areas, and massage therapists. The festival is seeking narrative features, documentary features, short films, animation, experimental films, horror & sci-fi, and New England-themed films. Early deadline is Sept. 30, 2007. Regular deadline is Dec. 31, 2007. Late Deadline is Jan. 31, 2008. Accepted films may not screen in the state of Massachussets prior to the festival upon acceptance.
