Young Urban Mediamakers Summer Program 2017
The Urban Mediamakers will present the annual Young Urban Mediamakers Summer Program running June - August 2017. Two tracks will be offers: (1) Digital Filmmaking and (2) Coding Apps, Games and Websites.
YUMs "Digital Filmmaking" - This program will immerse youth in all areas of digital filmmaking. Students will concept, write, produce, edit and screen their very own shorts, web-series, commercials and public service announcements (PSAs)! Participants will work in teams as they learn. Completed projects will be showcased at the 16th Urban Mediamakers Film Festival in October 2017.
YUMs "WeCodeAcademy" - This program will introduce you to coding to build apps, games and websites. Participants will work in teams as they concept, design and build mobile apps, games and websites..
Held in Lawrenceville, Georgia (Gwinnett County GA), this program will also includes (1) personal financial planning skills and (2) civility/conflict resolution strategies are infused in the curriculum daily. If your child is interested in acting, animation, art, coding, drawing, film, gaming, music, new media, print, television, video and/or web design and/or web/mobile app design/development this is the after school program for him/her.
